Docs/Joining a Workspace

Joining a Workspace

Join a workspace that a teammate has already created.

Receive an Invite#

There are two ways to get invited:

  1. Invite link — A URL like lyniti.com/join/ABC123
  2. Invite code — A short code like ABC123 shared via email or chat

Join workspace prompt

Join via Link#

  1. Click the invite link
  2. If not signed in, you'll go through account creation first
  3. The code is stored automatically and applied after signup/login
  4. A Workspace Join modal appears showing the workspace name
  5. Click Join

Join modal

Join via Sidebar#

If you already have a code:

  1. Click the workspace selector (top of the sidebar)
  2. Click Join Workspace
  3. Enter the invite code
  4. Click Join

Sidebar join

Join from Dashboard#

When you have no workspaces, the dashboard shows a Join a Workspace option. Enter your code there.

After Joining#

  • The workspace appears in your workspace selector
  • You can immediately access chats, tasks, and files
  • Your role is assigned by the invite settings (usually Member)

Troubleshooting#

  • Code not accepted — Check spelling — codes are case-insensitive
  • Code expired — Ask the admin to generate a new code
  • Usage limit reached — The code has been used the maximum number of times
  • Already a member — You're already in this workspace
